A Thank You Note From Trees

A Thank You Note From Trees

We appreciate the efforts you have been investing in us,
Planting us in huge numbers, Planting us everywhere,
You have tried your best to compensate for what you took from us.
Thank you for no longer taking us for granted, For understanding that we need each other,
For setting some time aside to seriously think/discuss us,
We will reward you for the biggest.
Don't forget to plant us where we have been adapted to,
Take care of us at our tender age before we can finally take care of ourselves,
Our brothers and sisters, the herbivores, sometimes like us young,
Water and nurture us till we can stand on our roots.
We will help to ensure that soil erosion is a history,
Oxygen is in surplus,
Provide shade for you when the sun gets hot,
Provide shelter and food to all our fauna friends.
We will work hand in hand with the other forces,
To ensure that the clouds are never empty,
Rains will be your constant visitor,
And the global warming that you fear,
will be conquerable.
As you have noticed, rainy seasons are no longer coming as before,
We will align all that,
No more floods and hurricanes,
No more unforgiving winds,
We will meet and agree.
So dearest ones,
The same zeal you have while planting us in huge numbers,
Maintain that zeal as long as we need you,
Don't leave us to dry and die,
Together we can make earth better again.
Cheers.
