As the quote suggests, we underestimate the impact of losing species on our ecosystems. Even if we could breed species in captivity, the damage is done to the environment.
Reminding us of saving and protecting the whole ecosystem as whole.
Steve Irwin was right. Habitat destruction is one of the biggest threats to endangered species.

I just watched a document on the rhinos, and trying to continue the species via a breeding program.
The scientists have been doing good job with the research to save such species, but a home to where they are to be released is shrinking and get destroyed as days goes by.
I know. I watched this documentary where they were relocating some giraffes into a wildlife park sanctuary to restore this certain kind of giraffe from dying out because of hunting and such.
